Wisconsin RV Trip

Our first week on the road in the RV was a success! we had a blast spending time with family and we are excited to document all of our upcoming adventures!

While we were in Wisconsin we stayed at O’Neil Creek Campground, Which happens to be a good Sam campground. They had so many family-friendly amenities including a kid's play area called Frankie's fun park, an arcade, multiple playgrounds, water activities in the O’Neil Creek, an ice cream shop, and plenty of trails for biking.

After the kids had a Blast in the play area we cooled off with some yummy ice cream! but my favorite part was definitely riding through the trails on our Aventon ebikes.

Although we were busy with friends and family, Dan and I are determined to stay fit while we are on the road, so we made it a priority to make time for a workout on our first day in the RV! however, due to less storage space, we had to buy some RV friendly workout gear from Amazon, including a workout bench that doubles as a step!

While in Wisconsin we visited Dan's mom and stepdad and ate way too much food at Phat Bob’s! If you want to try something local, order the tater kegs! The jalapeño bacon bombs are tasty too! We also had a great time out on the pontoon for a day on lake Holcombe and the kids had fun on their treasure hunt with their grandparents. Watch the YT episode here

To round out the trip we had our flat tow system installed on our truck. Camping World in Eau Claire is your one-stop shop for all things RVs, products, or services! Shoutout to Mike the store manager, Mike the service advisor, and Mike the tech for an amazing install on the flat towing system for Dan's truck. Apparently, you can only work at Camping world Eau Claire if your name is mike haha! no, but for real, we knew nothing about flat towing and they got everything installed and showed us how it works! As we continue to navigate homeschooling on the road, we used the Homer app to keep the kids busy while the tow system was installed!

Wisconsin was good to us but we are excited to hit the road. We can’t wait to be back in November when we come to visit again. Stay tuned for our next stop.

Xoxo Sam
