Post Transfer Tips

You guys are curious on Post Transfer Tips for your surrogacy or IVF journey an although the best advice I can give is to follow your doctors protocol, here are a few tips that I felt worked for us.

1. Go on a walk! I know some doctors put their patients on bed rest but I have found through research that it is important to keep blood flowing to the uterus. (avoid high intensity workouts).

2. Clear your schedule! Stay positive, listen to relaxing music and laughing will help keep your stress levels down to help implantation!

3. Try the old wives tale and grab some McDonalds fries. It is said that the sodium helps with implanting. Even if not true, I am always down for some fries :)

4. Clinics will require that you refrain from intercourse for a timeframe after transfer to avoid stress on the uterus! This is important to not have any contraction of the uterus muscles.

Wishing you all the best on a successful transfer!!!

My Symptoms post transfer included:

-Sore breast. A tall tale sign for me that I am pregnant.

-Cramping. This is known as implantation cramping and although painful it means the embryo is snuggling in nicely :)
