2022 Recap: 5 things we are thankful for in 2022

Wow, 2022 was an amazing year. I’ll go as far as saying, our best year yet. The year of adventure, blessings, growth and so many memorable moments. Reflecting back to where we were in January 2022, we had just moved out of a guest house. We are renting and were “homeless”. We knew after I delivered surro baby that we wanted to travel full time until we found the land, so we didn’t want to enter into a new lease. We lived with with friends for two months, lived with my mom for six months, and then hit the road full-time in our RV in mid August. What a crazy wild adventure this year was.

Here are a few moments we want to recall and remember from 2022.

1. The biggest most rewarding and life-changing opportunity ever: carrying and delivering a baby for somebody else. Embarking on this surrogacy journey was a four year process for us. You can watch all about it on our YouTube channel HERE. It was a journey of sacrifice, obedience, and God fulfilling his promises. I’ll never forget the moment we watch the intended parents hold their baby for the first time. It’s a moment we will always remember and be thankful that we were a part of.

2. Growth: we saw extreme growth in ourselves as individuals, in our marriage and family, and in our careers. Being on a Surrogacy journey required so much teamwork and prayer to make it through. We grew close during the hard seasons of pregnancy while navigating our living situation and we grew closer to the Lord as we learned to rely on our faith in times of uncertainty. We are thankful to say that in our careers of podcasting and content creation, we continue to see growth. I also had the opportunity to launch five pregnancy journals that I wrote to will help other surrogates and intended parents as they navigate their own journeys!

3. Blessing: this year we saw gods blessing in our life, and through that we are able to be a blessing to others. One of the biggest things that I will always remember being a part of is blessing our friend Laura. She tragically lost her husband a few days before finding out she was pregnant. Our due dates were so close and her story touched my heart. We shared her story with our social media fam and we all came together to buy her everything from her baby registry and give her over $10,000. Watch it all HERE.

4. Adventure: and something I have dreamed about doing for six years now, we got to travel full-time in our RV with the kids. We conquered over 24 states and marked multiple things off on our bucket list! I have so many pictures to look back on, and memories. watch our RV travels HERE. We are so thankful for the memories that we made with our kids and as a family.

5. Answered prayers: one major answer to prayer was for a smooth, pregnancy and delivery of surro babe. Beyond thankful for God’s miraculous work in that journey! And to wrap up the year, we have our biggest answered prayer yet, land! Ever since we were married back in 2014, Dan and I have wanted land of our own to build a home, adventure on, and raise a family. We are currently under contract and set to close January 31 on a chunk of property that is more than we ever hoped for. Watch HERE to see!

Beyond thankful for everything we got to experience this year, everything we were a part of, and for all that God is doing in our life.

We are so hopeful for 2023
